Cleaning Methods Of Dirt in Brandy Distillation Equipment

May 04, 2022

Generally speaking, the brandy distillation equipment will inevitably appear dirt and scale after being used for a period of time. For the staff, in order to improve the aesthetics and corrosion resistance of the equipment and prolong the service life of stainless steel, it is necessary to clean up these dirt. The following is a brief introduction to its cleaning methods?

The first is acid pickling. Nitric acid solution is commonly used for acid pickling, and professional formulas such as boiler protective agent are added, which are cleaned by professional cleaning companies with special equipment, so that the scale in the distillation equipment can be effectively cleaned.

The second is alkaline washing, which uses sodium phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate as the main additives to achieve good cleaning. Acid pickling shall be circularly cleaned by acid resistant pump. The cleaning effect shall be regularly checked during the cleaning process. After cleaning, it shall be neutralized with alkaline solution and washed with clean water. Alkaline washing is heated by soaking in alkaline solution, and the cleaning effect is judged according to the empirical value. After cleaning, rinse with clean water.

In addition, during the acid pickling and passivation operation of distillation equipment, the operator shall carefully observe and carefully control the cleaning and passivation temperature and time. If the temperature is low, the treatment time shall be appropriately prolonged, and if the temperature is high, the treatment time shall be shortened. Prevent over corrosion of material surface caused by failure to achieve pickling passivation effect or over pickling.

When cleaning the brandy distillation equipment, the operators shall wear acid resistant clothes, acid proof gloves, masks and protective goggles. Pickling and passivation shall be carried out in the container, and qualified gas masks shall be carried with special personnel for supervision.
