2.The process of making rum

Fermentation: Sugar cane juice or molasses is mixed with yeast to start fermentation. Since a large amount of carbon dioxide and alcohol will be produced in the fermentation process, fermentation needs to be completed in the barrel, or the consequences will be unimaginable.

Distillation: After fermentation is completed, distillation is required. The distillation method here is very special because it requires a specific distillation tank to perform, commonly known as the "swan neck". Distill the fermented liquid through the swan neck under high temperature and pressure to achieve the necessary alcohol level.

Storage: The distilled liquid needs to be stored at a suitable temperature, filtered and separated from the distilled slurry and distilled water, and then added to appropriate wooden barrels for storage, allowing the liquid to be stored on wood for a long time to further enhance its aroma.

3. Classification of rum

According to different production techniques, rum is classified into three main types: white rum, amber rum, and black rum.

To produce good rum, every processing process needs to be strictly followed, the production ratio should be reasonably controlled, and suitable wooden barrels should be selected. In this way, the mellow aroma and taste of rum can be guaranteed, and it can become a favorite drink for those who pursue delicacies.
